Microsoft outlook 2016 hidden features free
I am new to Outlook. I cannot see how to select an email and copy it. I want to place a copy of an email in certain folders but the only option appears to be to move the email which I don’t want to do. I also want to set up some folders and use rules to place a copy of an email in a folder but cannot see how to do this.
Are these features not available in Outlook. I previously used these features when I used MS Office Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help.
Thank you for the explanation. I only signed up to Outlook. I presume therefore that I have the latest version of Outlook.
Is there any way if I can tell if I have the “preview” version? I checked my Outlook. This surprises me as I only joined this week and would have assumed that the latest version would have been available. Thank you. I have the blue non upgraded version. Do I just wait until some updates are made available? Using Outlook , you can make a backup, have much better rules, handle several accounts, and have other features.
The account setup in Outlook would sync with the emails on the server. I intend to restart using Outlook now that I have Outlook. I stopped using it as it had become disastereous when I had Talktalk as my mail provider.
Since the cyber attack Talktalk has been a disaster. Apart from its unreliability and multiple problems it would download multiple duplicates of emails every time I opened Outlook I would download on average 4, each time often leading to 12, a day.
It became impossible to use. I have now ditched Talktalk and signed up to Outlook. Once I understand how to use it properly I will start using Outlook again.
Any advice you can give me on getting the best use out of Outlook would be gratefully accepted. Outlook works well with Outlook. If your account is still on the “old” Outlook. If , instead, you see “Outlook Mail Preview “, that’s even better. You can connect to the mailbox using a full Exchange account, which is also two-way synchronization, but gives you contact groups, categories, and other nice features as well.

The “old” Outlook. It’s a little hidden though. On that dialog you’ll be able to select the folder name and check a box for copy instead of move. Thanks for your feedback. How satisfied are you with this reply?
