IT Partner LLC – Windows Desktop operating system.
We have purchased Business Premium for many users, and that auto upgrades our machines to Windows 10 Business from Pro. Recently we found on Tech Soup we are a non profit that the F3 License included Windows 10 Enterprise upgrade from Pro However upon testing this License my test machine is still showing as Pro. I cannot find anywhere on Microsoft’s documentation that confirms this upgrade is included with F3.
My test machine sits here at Windows 10 Pro. Basically, we are trying to find a solution for the front line workers we have that do not need the full E3 package, our frontline workers do not need the desktop apps, but they do need the enterprise upgrade for other reasons like the Policies, lock screen force thru GPO etc As per windowssubscription-activation there are some requirements to keep in mind around Azure AD joined vs just Azure AD registered, to keep in mind here as well.
The comparison in Microsoft admin portal is different from the info from Microsoft website which Windows 10 Enterprise is not included in Microsoft F3. Just to check with you if you can find the answer from your testing or anyone else. My Company now decided to go with E3 for everyone, so effectively my problem is solved. I may play around with this to see if I can get it to work, and If I do I’ll post my findings.

Labels: Labels: Microsoft Preview file. Thanks David. Much Appreciated, Now I just have to tinker with things to see why my laptop is stuck on pro. Our business premium users machines updated instantly upon sign on so I was expecting the same. I will give it some time and play with it a bit more.. I just wanted to make sure that I was not chasing a ghost.

It is currently running Windows 10 Pro, activated with a digital license. The help pages I have seen point to a separate Windows 10 Enterprise license being present in the Microsoft Admin Center, but I do not see such a license Computer is AzureAD domain joined. Most of the documentation I have seen says it should “automatically” push to the updated license but I have not seen the update happen, even after a few reboots.
I punched down into the AzureAD portal to view the license as well. I have 64 of 64 services activated, and Windows 10 Enterprise is turned to On. Thanks, and let me know if there is an additional step that must be done if the computer was originally joined with an O E3 license. Sorry, due to limited condition, we can reproduce your scenario for test, please connect your Microsoft M E5 partner or busines support for help, they can analyze your scenario then give you suggestions.
Would you mind letting me know the update of the problem? If you need further assistance, feel free to let me know. I have opened a ticket with Microsoft Support, as we purchased direct.

In reply to Andre Da Costa’s post on September 16, I understand.
I wonder if I decide to buy Windows 10 Enterprise using that option, would it be valid and I receive the key to upgrade my Windows 10 Pro?
